Diamonds Stole
This lace stole has three sections-- a bottom with increasing number of stitches, a center section composed of three repeats of a lace pattern and a top with decreasing number of stitches. Dimensions: 14 by 62 inches. It is the little sister of the lace stole Diamonds and More Diamonds already published on Ravelry.
The lace pattern is published as a chart. Simple lace stitches have been used and the lace pattern is worked only on right side rows.
To finish the edge, I elected to work single crochet around the edge. This required the two sizes of crochet hooks to prevent the edge from curling, the smaller one for the short sides and the larger for the long sides since the first stitch of each row was slipped. This crocheted edge is optional for anyone who does not want or like to crochet.
