The Syndicate Hats collection is a tribute to my knitting group, Strikkesyndikatet (The Knitting Syndicate). This one is for me :)
On a “retreat” (AKA weekend in a cottage) with my knitting group, The Knitting Syndicate, I cast on for this hat. I finished it the same weekend, of course – chatting and knitting makes for great hat knitting! It inspired a whole collection of hats, one for each of the members of my knitting group.
The hat is worked from the brim up, starting with a provisional cast on and a folded brim. No purl stitches in this hat whatsoever! Half of the hat is done in a structured stitch pattern, giving a bit of interest while knitting. The rest of the hat is lovely stockinette stitch, to make the semi solid hand dyed yarn show off its best features.
