I embroidered the face on the mallet . Hook can be smaller if you prefer. I crochet tight so I used a bigger hook. I used super adhesive fabric glue for the felt this is an option but not needed if you rather not. Scrap yarn I used was pumpkin orange, red, green, white. Fiber fill is needed or you can use scrap yarn pieces.
