Dimple Shale Lace Scarf
Dimple Shale is a variation of Old Shale - a classic Shetland Lace pattern. It creates a soft wavy rectangular scarf. It can be knit in 8 ply (DK), 4 ply (fingering) or 2 ply (lace weight).
The yarn could be solid, semi-solid, gradient or self-striping. Use a larger than normal needle to give the scarf a soft drape.
This scarf could be knit in any yarn. Instructions are available for 2 ply (lace weight) with 4 mm needles, 4 ply (fingering) with 5.5 mm needles and 8 ply (DK) with 6 mm needles.
The width and length of the scarf can easily be adjusted.
