This pattern is written using UK terminology.

Stitches which may be used;

Ch – Chain
Mr – Magic Ring
St - Stitch
Dc – Double crochet
Inc – increase (two dc in one st)
Dec – decrease (dc two stitches together)
Tc – Treble Crochet
Htc – Half Treble Crochet
3tc-inc – 3 treble crochets into the same stitch
4tc-inc - 4 treble crochets into the same stitch
4dc-dec – dc 4 stitches together
BLO – Back loop only
Sl st – Slip stitch
FO – finish off

For this pattern I have used;

DK yarn in Orange and Yellow
Small amount of black embroidery thread
Stuffing (Fiberfil)
12mm Safety Eyes
Hook – 3.25mm
Doll needle (optional but easier)
Needle
Scissors
Stitch Markers
Slicker Brush (optional)

We will be working in continuous rounds throughout this pattern.

Use pins to position each piece correctly before sewing them together.

When made using the yarn above, my duckling measures 8 inches from bottom of foot to the top of the head. The same rule applies with this pattern as every other. If you use thicker yarn and appropriate hook, your duckling will be larger. If you use smaller, it will be smaller.
