Dinner in the Eiffel Tower Shawl
This shawl was inspired by the architecture of the Eiffel Tower. It’s been years since I lived in France but the structure made an impression on me. You can see the criss-cross lattice lace bordered by rows of eyelets and separated with a panel of ridges meant to suggest the platform sections of the tower.
The inspiration to design a shawl came from the yarn I wanted to work with. The name of the colorway was “French Grey” and got me wishing I could make a shawl to wear out to dinner in France… more specifically, I’d like to wear it to Le Jules Verne, the restaurant in the Eiffel tower…
The English version of the pattern downloaded after August 2015 has a chart included for the lattice lace section as well as written directions for those who prefer that. The Italian version only includes written directions but I am happy to provide a chart if desired.
