This basket works up to be approximately 14 inches in diameter. It does include inserting a solid base between 2 layers of crochet to stabilize the basket. You may use a smaller yarn and hook to create a smaller basket, but the pattern is written and was created using only bernat blanket yarn. There are several steps and peices that must be sewn on, so basic sewing knowledge is a must. The pattern works up relelatively quickly. You will need 3 skeins of bernat blanket yarn, 2 for color A and 1 for color b, a 5.5 mm hook, a yarn needle, a peice of cardboard to fit in between your bottom layers to create your solid base.
