This is a pattern for a child size, age 4-8, depending on head circumference, dinosaur egg hat!

Made with worsted weight yarn in two colors (one for the main and another for the spots).

I used approximately 150 yards of worsted weight yarn for the main color, and 75 yards of worsted weight yarn for the spots.

The finished dimensions of the child hat: laid flat, 8 inches from brim to top, with a left to right measurement of by 7.5 when measured right above the ribbing, with no stretch applied to hat. Please keep in mind this is measured flat, so double numbers for full circumference.

With medium stretch applied to hat (measured right above the ribbing again where the color-work is) hat will stretch to 8.5 inches. (any more stretch distorts hat, but it does stretch another inch)
