Dino Stitch Tank Top– Child Version
This is a crochet top in all sizes, that is worked seamlessly top-down, so you can try it on as you go! It uses dk yarn, and features a special stitch, the dinosaur stitch, which is my own invention. The stitch is much quicker than embroidering all the dinosaurs onto a plain garment.

Suggested hook size: 5mm

Yarn weight: dk/8-ply/light worsted/ yarn weight 3.

Suggested yarn: Scheepjes Linen Soft, Drops Belle, or Paintbox Cotton Dk (for a summer version). For a winter version could use any dk acrylic or wool yarn. I recommend Sirdar Replay as it is especially made for kid’s garments.

Also needed:
Tapestry needle, embroidery scissors for sewing in ends.

0-6m/6-12m/1-2y(2-4y/4-6y/6-8y)(8-10y/10-12y/12-14y)
To fit chest size up to:
43/47/52(57/63/66)(70/74/78) cm

make the size that best fits chest size rather than age! If between sizes always size up. Follow instructions for your chosen size (denoted by colour).

Gauge: 14 stitches and 12 rows of hdc worked in rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Estimated Yardage (will vary slightly according to yarn used):

Main colour = 200/215/230(250/300/390)(450/475/490) m 220/237/253(275/330/429)(495/523/539) yards.

Contrast colour = 36/37/41(45/49/52)(55/58/62) m
39/41/45(49/54/57)(61/65/68) yards.
