This is a pattern for a bowl or small basket that looks like a sleeping dinosaur.

Notes

• F/5 hook (3.75 mm)
• Worsted (9 wpi) yarn: 60 yards in base color, 20 yards in accent color (this is a generous estimate)
• Stitches used: single crochet (sc), half-double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), chain (ch), slip stitch (sl st), sc increase (sc inc) - 2 sc in the same stitch, magic ring (MR)
• All stitches are worked through both loops

The main body of the bowl would look nice with an ombre, striped, or other multi-colored yarn. The accent color for the spikes would probably be best in a solid color yarn.
