This is a hat idea I came up with for my 3 year old grandson…he is my model in a few of the pictures!!
It can be made on different size looms to fit different size head. I made the first one on the 36 peg KK loom but it barely fit his head..I went up to the 41 peg KK loom and it is a little bit big on him…I recommend using the 41 peg loom for heads over 4 years of age!!
if you use a bulky yarn it will work up bigger and you probably can go with the smaller loom…I have not tried it so not for sure!!
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
41 peg large gauge loom
loom hook, scissors, craft needle, crochet hook, stitch markers
3 foot piece of contrasting color yarn
yarn - #4 yarn color of your choice but use 2 strands together..2 skeins
STITCHES USED:
ewrap knit and Purl
gather bind off
simple increase and decrease
I work in a clock wise direction, purl to the left and knit to the right
