Dionne Shawl
This shawl is a simple triangle shape but generously sized with vertical lines of a teardrop shaped lace motif travelling down its length. Knitted from the bottom up you’ll need to transfer from single point needles to circular needles in order to accommodate the full width as the work grows.
Finished Measurements
Finished shawl measures 90cm ( 35 ½ in ) long from middle of cast off edge to cast on x 120 cm (47 ¼ in ) wide at cast off edge
Materials
This design works for 800m of any fingering weight yarn but the sample shown was specifically knitted using 4 x 200m of a blend of 70% baby alpaca 30% silk
Needles
One 120 cm (47”) long 3.25 mm (US 3) circular needle
Tension
27 sts and 34½ rows to 10 cm (4 inches) measured over lace pattern* using 3.25 mm (US 3) needles
after blocking and pressing (Try working a swatch wide enough for a single repeat of each chart)
