The Dioon Pillow features a lovely mosaic crochet pattern. While it looks complex, it’s actually very easy.
This stunning Dioon Crochet Pillow is easy to make and can be made in numerous color duos, to match your home decor. It will make a lovely and colorful addition to any sofa or chair!
The front of this crochet pillow is worked in rounds using mosaic crochet technique. The reverse of the pillow is made in one colour and has a buttoned opening to tak the pillow pad in or out.
The pattern uses US crochet terminology.
Materials & Tools:
1. Yarn Scheepjes Stone Washed 50g = 130m, 78% Cotton, 22% Acrylic, in 2 different colours:
Yarn A: Enstatite (832) – 1 skein
Yarn B: Moon Stone (801) – 3 skeins.
- Hook size 3.5mm. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge,
- Tapestry needle (to weave and hide yarn ends),
- Scissors,
- 4 buttons (Approx. 2,8 cm)
- Stitch markers.
Level: Intermediate
Sizes: 40cm x 40cm (15.75”x15,75”)
Gauge after blocking:
FRONT: after round 8 the pillow is 10cm (4”) wide.
BACK: 16 sts and 16 rows to 10 x 10cm (4 x 4”) using 3.5mm hook with single crochet.
If necessary, adjust hook size to obtain the correct gauge.
Before you measure, please take the time to block your swatch in the same manner that you will block your pillow.
