Introducing the adorable Dippy Jnr the Diplodocus! When created in worsted weight yarn, this little dinosaur stands at 34cm tall, and is 48cm from his nose to the tip of his tail. He comes with his own pith helmet and butterfly, and was created for the Amigurumi Patterns Prehistoric Times Design Contest. Dippy Jnr is an easily customised little dinosaur, and we have included examples from our testers to inspire you.

Dippy’s story:

Dippy Jnr is the son of Dippy the Diplodocus. He lives with his mum in the Natural History Museum, London. Dippy Jnr spends much of his day exploring the gardens and playing with the butterflies, but his favourite activity is collecting lost items that people leave in the museum. This is how he acquired his treasured pith helmet (which is a little big for him, but he doesn’t mind). People leave lots of forgotten items behind that are never collected, and it is so much fun to scour the exhibits at night in search of them. Dippy Jnr even found a set of keys from the museum guards once, but he wasn’t allowed to keep those - apparently, they weren’t lost!
