Dippy the Diplodocus
Dippy the Diplodocus was originally designed for TOFT’s first ever workshop at London’s Natural History Museum back in 2016, and now he is a firm favourite in Kerry Lord’s menagerie of dinosaurs. This woolly version of the extinct dinosaur is much smaller and more cuddly than its prehistoric counterpart, which is one of the best-known dinosaurs due to the huge amount of fossils that have been found across the world.
TOFT’s Edward’s Menagerie collection is a series of crochet amigurumi toys designed by Kerry Lord. This crochet animal kit contains TOFT’s quality pure wool yarn and an easy-to-follow downloadable pattern. There are video links for all the crochet stitches and techniques used in the pattern to get you started and help you complete your toy. Share your progress with the TOFT community on Instagram @toft_uk using the #edsanimals hashtag.
YOU WILL NEED: To complete your crochet dinosaur you will need a few added extras including a 3mm crochet hook, toy stuffing and a wool needle. Find everything you need in our haberdashery section or upgrade to a complete kit which includes all of the above!
MEASUREMENTS: When finished your Diplodocus will be approximately 32cm tall from feet to top of head.
SKILL LEVEL 1: This crochet animal kit is suitable for beginners.
IT WILL TAKE: Approximately 1-5 hours crochet time.
