This is realistic crochet discus fish.

Tutorial consists of 42 pages in PDF format with more then 120 pictures and VIDEO lesson for painting.

Finished size the fish is about 9 cm (3 and 1/2 inches) in diameter.

Materials:

For this toy is used Kirov Yarn Mills Iris 164 yards (150 meters) in
25 grams (0.88 oz).
You can take any cotton threads with similar weight, I recommend only
100 % cotton.
2 colors on your taste. I show on the photo 2 examples. Based color for
the body and second color for the fins. You can choose your style of the
toy.
◦ Hook 1 mm or 0,9 mm, choose the hook for yourself. Crocheting
should be very, very tight.
◦ Filler holofiber.
◦ Flat pliers and cutters for wire and helping with sewing details.
Tweezers and wood sticks for stuffing.
◦ Acrylic paints, metallic acrylic. Brushes for painting different
sizes. Two colors of permanent markers suitable to the thread
colors, brighter and darker than threads.
◦ Glass hemispheres for the eyes, diameter 8 mm. Or ready red
glass eyes.
◦ White, milky, light or beige polymer clay and soft pastel for
making eyelids. Or take color suitable color with threads. And
universal invisible glue, that not leave traces. I recommend
Moment Crystal by Henkel.
◦ Floristic wire frame 1 mm or 1,5 mm.
◦ Silicone brush pen for sculpting and modeling.
◦ For desired use varnish for the clay. I use UV gel polish and UV
lamp.

For the both fishs is used one pattern is used. Just colors are different.
