As soon as I learned about the Fibonacci Sequence, I became fascinated. Discovered by the mathematician, Leonardo Pisano, (called “Fibonacci” as “filius Bonacci” or “the son of Guglielmo dei Bonacci) in Pisa, Italy in the early 1200s, the Fibonacci sequence appears everywhere in nature, from the number of petals on flowers to the number of leaves on trees to the number of individual flowers on sunflowers and broccoli. In simplest terms, the Fibonacci sequence of numbers is such that each number is the sum of the previous two. I decided to combine the Fibonacci sequence with my love of colorblock and create the Disegno Fibonacci scarf. Easy-to-knit Garter Stitch is combined with a lovely and refined flat selvedge edge. The scarf is a wonderful stashbuster: it uses only a total of 189g of 4 different colors, so feel free to play around and make the design your own!
