This pattern orginated from Leigh’s Favorite Dishcloth where she made them in several colors. I knitted the dishcloth pattern and a second one where I made the columns in the pattern narrower plus a dishtowel. So it shows two different dishcloths in the photo.

Once you know the repeats of a pattern it is easy to design the same thing. With or without edges and borders.
