Disjointed is a long drapey cowl made from a single skein of fingering weight yarn.

It can be worn loose, or doubled up and snugged up under the chin.
One half of the fabric holds its structure whilst the other half becomes more frenetic and loose. This behaviour will change depending on what kind of yarn you use and whether you stick to gauge or not. A looser gauge will result in bigger yo holes and the pattern will become more lost, whereas a tighter gauge will create a firmer fabric that holds it shape more confidently.

When designing I used White Gum Wool 4ply which has 470m to 100g and had 15g (70m) remaining. If you wish to use a single colour I recommend weighing your yarn at the end of each chart repeat to help inform whether or not you’ll have to bind off early.
The i-cord cast on uses approximately 10g yarn, as does the i-cord bind off. An alternate colour yarn could be used for the cast on and bind off if you are using a MC with less than 400mts to 100g.
