The three-way collaboration on this elegant stole began when I saw Elena’s beautiful yarn.

Although my first idea had been a shawl, I later came to the conclusion that something more streamlined would showcase the scrumptious yarn in a much better way without distracting from its hand-dyed beauty: A stole, to wear over a Little Black Dress to the theater or for an evening at a nice restaurant - nothing too ornamented, but rather understated and elegant.

Inspired by an intricate stitch pattern I had spotted in a Polish knitting magazine, I then set out to develop the cabled design. When I showed it to Kam from Everyday Peacocks, to whom I had talked a while ago how nice it would be to have a pin designed especially for one of my accessories, she found it a neat idea and then came up with a unique pin to replicate the knitted leave motif from my stole. Isn’t her pin just wonderful?

I think the three of them are a perfect match: yarn, stole and pin!

Distinction was designed in collaboration with Colour Adventures and Everyday Peacocks.
