The Circle Club 2017

This sock has been released as part of The Circle Club, a collaboration between Clare from Knit Share Love and Joy from The Knitting Goddess.

The design will be exclusive to club members until December 2017 when it will be available to purchase as a single pattern on Ravelry.

These socks are a testiment to the notion that things don’t always end up how you envisaged. I love that circle cable and had been eyeing it up for months - I knew it wanted to be a sock design! I played around with all sorts of options but over time I knew it was never going to be comfortable on the top of my foot …

All of a sudden my thinking shifted and I went off on a tangent - I could have the best of both worlds in one sock - cables and comfort. That beautiful cable made way for a glorious panel of reverse stocking stitch and I was totally smitten.

The heel features a nifty double gusset - I hope you love it as much as I do.

The Knitting Goddess 4ply wool and nylon (fingering; 75% wool, 25% nylon; 400m / 437yd per 100g skein)
Shade: Circling Blue | September 2017; 1 x 100g skein

2.5mm / US 1.5 needles suitable for knitting a small circumference in the rnd
5 lockable stitch marker(s)
Tapestry needle

Gauge

Always use the needle size that enables you to match the specified gauge.

32 sts and 44 rnds over 10cm / 4in of stocking stitch worked in the rnd, blocked, using 2.5mm / US 1.5 needles

The length can easily be adjusted by knitting a shorter or longer leg and / or cuff
