INSPIRATION
Named after mathematics divergent series, this accessory is not a cowl or a shawl, it’s a cross between the two – there is no cast on and no bind off and requires no fancy skill to complete. It’s completely reversible so no fiddling when you wear it.
This is a mindless project that will allow you to use up these beautiful leftovers from sock and fingering skeins, especially the hand-dyed ones! No color sequencing instructions are provided, simply stripe as you please!
This pattern was originally released as a MKAL so original format has been retained - no one says you can’t have just as much fun as the KAL participants, right?
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Circumference: 66” (33” folded)
Width: 24” at the widest part, 18” in the narrowest
NEEDLES
US#6/4.00mm - 24”/60cm
TOOLS
Scale for weighing your yarn, two markers, scrap yarn, measuring tape (optional)
GAUGE
23sts per 4” using US#6/4.00mm in Stockinette stitch needles or size to obtain gauge
YARN QUANTITY
You will need roughly 205g of fingering weight yarn. The minimalist version will require equal amounts of two colors since this design is stripes. Or you could (like I did!) use up your scraps, and sky is the limit here as far as color combinations go! Just make sure that no scrap is less than 5 yards.
