Divine Vine features stunning dancing cables that bounce from side to side. This simple, understated, classic design is perfect for the entire family! Divine Vine is worked in the round and on size US4 (the brim for child & women’s/men’s small), US5 (the brim for teen/women’s small & men’s), US6 (the crown for child & women’s/men’s small), US7 (the crown for teen/women’s small & men’s) 16-inch circular needles. The gauge for this hat is 5.5 stitches per inch.

Please note: all purl stitches are purled by wrapping the yarn under the needle, not over the needle like a regular purl stitch. If you choose to stick with “regular purls” please note that your sizing will most likely be slightly larger than the pattern sizes listed. By purling with the yarn under the needle, you are ultimately twisting the stitch which lends itself to beautiful ribbing (and purl stitches) but more importantly helps ribbing hold its shape and circumference. It also makes for much sturdier ribbing & purl stitches as well as the perfect way to lock in beaded knit stitches.

Beads are an option, within the pattern, for a more feminine version.

Sizes offered: child, teen/women’s small, women’s/men’s small, men’s.

The gauge for the pattern is 5.5 stitches per inch for child & women’s, 6 stitches per inch for teen/women’s small & men’s.

Materials Needed:
• One skein of Yarnitoli DK yarn (231 yards. You will use up to 175-200 yards)

• Size US4 or US5 16-inch circular needles for the brim (depending on size)

• Size US6 or US7 16-inch circular needles for the crown

• Size US5 or US6 DPN’s for bind off (depending on size & magic loop is also fine)

• Cable needle

• Darning needle
