I will admit, just like many many knitters, I was hit by the mini skein mania and do I have a collection! DIY Rainbow Shawl is my solution to using some of the minis that just don’t match well with others.

DIY Rainbow Shawl is an asymmetric triangle shawl featuring two color garter and mini skeins! A diligent slip stitch edge gives a nice clean look to a fun and colorful shawl. Match up those minis that just don’t fit and have a bold and colorful shawl to wear. End of your shawl features and i cord bind off for a clean finish.

Mini skeins can be 10, 15, or 20 grams but should all be the same weight for the section to knit correctly. Have fun, play with color, and create your own rainbow!

US 5 (3.75 mm) 32 inch (80 cm) circular or longer

Tapestry needle
Stitch Markers
Scissors

GAUGE
23 stitches and 25 garter bumps = 4 inches (10 cm) in blocked garter bumps

Adjust needle size to obtain correct gauge if necessary!
