This beautiful Faroese Shawl offers a classic design with a modern twist. The lace elements the remind us of the elegance of an abstract fern pattern.

The shape of Djamila is constructed by connecting a slowly growing center part with two continiously increasing wings.
A comfortably huge triangle will arise, big enough to be easily knotted in the back.
A delightful border with a rolled edge is creating an interesting element at the neckline and then down the entire inside of the shawl.
The appearance of this beauty will be airy and light, but also comforting and warm.
You can use my welthase angel lace, held single or double, as well as any slightly blooming fingering yarn - such as welthase ml fingering or welthase BFL pearl - and the welthase BFL sporty DK is working very well, too.

The lace part is charted, the rest is a written pattern.

Size: slightly blocked: appr. 240cm x 70cm
You can easily modify the size of the shawl as described in the pattern.

Djamila ist groß und weich und luftig und warm.
Dieses schöne Faröer Dreieckstuch ist klassisch und modern.

Der elegante Laceteil erinnert an ein abstrahiertes Farnkrautmuster und eine wunderschöne Zierkante mit einem sich zart aufrollenden Rand unterstreicht den schönen Ausschnitt des Tuchs.

Ein leicht höher gehender Kragen hinten am Hals, ein zentraler Mittelteil und zwei stetig wachsende Flügel sind Elemente von Djamila. Lässig im Rücken zu knoten, kann dieses Tuch - in alter skandinavischer Tradition - statt Strickjacke oder Pulli getragen werden.

Das welthase angel lace -einfach oder doppelfädig gestrickt- eignet sich wunderbar dafür, ebenso jedes etwas aufblühende fingering-Garn, wie das welthase ml fingering oder auch das welthase BFL pearl. Auch das welthase BFL sporty DK funktioniert perfekt für diese Anleitung.

Der Laceteil ist gechartet, alles andere ist eine geschriebene Anleitung.
