DK Aviator This aviator hat could be used as a photography prop or warm up your little traveler during the autumn and winter.
The earflaps and front flap are knitted flat, then everything is smoothly and effortlessly joined together so you can continue knitting in the round.

It is important to actually measure your child’s head and not only rely on the age labelling. Additionally, you might want to pick a size that is slightly smaller than actual head size (0.5-1’’ smaller is fine) for a perfect fit.
Materials
• 90 (110, 140, 180, 200) yards of Swift Yarns Cozy DK or any other DK weight yarn that gives gauge
• 16’’ circular needle US # 6 (4 mm) or any size required to obtain gauge
• Double pointed needles US # 6 (4 mm) or same size as circular needle used.
• Other : stitch markers, stitch holders, 2 buttons (1’’)
