DK Diamond Dishcloth
This pattern can be purchased individually or as part of DK Squared Dishcloth collection.
DK Diamonds Dishcloth is a versatile pattern that can be used to make a variety of knitted projects - a coaster, dishcloth, placemat, cushion cover or blanket fragment.
It is one of five designs in my DK Squared Dishcloth Collection. The collection is based on an interesting colourwork technique of creating a two sided image by alternating DK (double knit) and garter squares on a marled garter background.
The dishcloth is worked with two strands of yarn in two colours. The yarns are separated for the DK squares, which have two layers.
There are many ways to play with DK and garter squares for different colourwork effects. This pattern has three additional charts to try some of them out.
An i-cord edging can be applied to the finished cloth after binding off. It is worked with one colour on the same DPNs or circular needles.
The pattern has been tech edited and tested.
