DK Microchip Dishcloth
This pattern can be purchased individually or as part of DK Squared Dishcloth collection.
DK Microchip Dishcloth is a double-sided pattern that can be used to make a variety of knitted projects - a coaster, dishcloth, placemat, fragment of a cushion cover, bag or blanket.
It is one of five designs in my DK Squared Dishcloth Collection. The collection is based on an interesting colourwork technique of creating a two sided image by working DK (double knit) sections on a marled garter background.
The dishcloth is worked with two strands of yarn in two colours. The yarns are separated for the DK squares, which have two layers. You can finish off your project with an optional crochet loop.
The name for this design was suggested by my husband, who is an IT professional. After looking at a few images of CPUs on the internet, I realised I couldn’t find a better match. Also, the space inside the inner square is large enough to fit a microchip, in case you want to make a smart dishcloth;)
