Size should be chosen according the child’s chest size, not after age labels. Measure the chest when they are wearing the type of clothes intended to be worn under the sweater. Then add 0.5 to 1.5’’ (or more if you want more room) to that measure, and choose the closest garment measurement.

• Long sleeves: 225 (300, 350, 400, 450, 550, 675) yards OR 205 275, 320, 365, 415, 500, 620) meters of worsted weight yarn or any other yarn that gives gauge
• Short sleeves: 175 (200, 250, 300, 375, 475, 600) yards OR 160 180, 230, 275, 345, 440, 550) meters of worsted weight yarn or any other yarn that gives gauge
• 16’’ (or bigger) circular needle and double pointed needles (DPNs) in sizes US # 6 & 7 (4 & 4.5 mm) or any size required to obtain the stockinette stitch gauge
• Other: stitch markers, stitch holders, 1 x 0.5 inches 1.25 cm button
