Do You Know the Mitten Man is a fun project for the confident beginner who is ready to learn to knit in the round using double pointed needles (dpn). These little mitts knit up quickly in a soft but durable aran weight yarn. Pattern is written for 4 sizes with an adjustable cuff length. Happy knitting!

Sizes: To fit hand circumference 7 (7.5, 8, 8.5) inches 17.75 (19, 20.25, 22) cm

Finished circumference: 6.5 (7, 7.5, 8) inches 16.5 (17.75, 19, 20.25) cm unstretched, after wet blocking. For best results choose a finished circumference about ½ inch (1.25 cm) less than actual hand circumference.

Gauge: 18 stitches and 26 rows = 4 inches 10 cm in stockinette after washing and blocking

Materials

Yarn: Cestari 2 Ply Worsted 100% merino wool 178 yds/3.5 ounces: One 3.5 ounce (100 g) hank

Suggested needles:
Set of 5 US size 8 (5 mm) dpn or size needed to obtain gauge.

Additional supplies:
Stitch markers: Locking removable stitch markers are convenient when working with dpn.
Large-eye yarn needle for finishing.
Scrap of smooth waste yarn to hold live thumb stitches while knitting hand.
