Dodo Amigurumi
Make your own Dodo! Described by European sailors as slow moving and extremely trusting, the Dodo was endemic to the island of Mauritius until it was wiped out in the 17th Century. The memory of this magnificent bird now stands as a reminder of the power of humanity to destroy species, and our responsibility to help preserve the natural world.
The 39 page pattern includes detailed step-by-step photos and clear written instructions to make an amigurumi-style Dodo. PLUS there is a 16 page printer-friendly TEXT ONLY version at the end of the pattern. This pattern has been fully tested by multiple testers. Includes yarn amounts and hook sizes to make a Dodo using worsted weight yarn.
Recommended for INTERMEDIATE SKILL LEVEL. This pattern uses basic crochet stitches and more complex stitches (detailed in the pattern glossary).
A finished Dodo made using Worsted Weight yarn is approximately 14” long from beak to tail, 14” tall from head to toe, and 6” wide across the hips.
