No gauge is needed for this puppet pattern.

I use one 50g skein of Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK for the main body, and 50g of a contrasting colour for the ears and nose, plus a small amount of white and red for eyes/tongue.

Other materials needed;

5mm hook
small amount of toy stuffing for eyes.
toy safety eyes (8mm) (or embroidery can be used as an alternative).
tapestry needle.
