I designed these adorable doggy socks, after my paw print gloves proved so popular. People do love their dogs so much, and as a qualified canine behaviourist, I am surrounded by animal lovers. I wanted to keep the pattern simple and repetitive, so that the socks are an enjoyable knit. I have included two variations, one with a heel flap and one with short row heel so that you can choose your preference. The short row heel allows the colourwork to be repeated down to the toe without a disruption in the pattern. I used a variety of 4ply yarns, mainly West Yorkshire Spinners “Bo Peep” and “Truly Hooked” 4 ply. Both have been discontinued, but any 4ply that achieves gauge is absolutely perfect! I hope you enjoy knitting these gorgeous socks as much as I did. A perfect gift for any dog lover . I have included adult sizes in small, medium and large.
