Extra-Small: Diameter – 2 inches
Small: Diameter – 2.5 inches
Medium: Diameter – 3 inches
Large: Diameter – 3.5 inches
Extra-Large: Diameter – 4 inches

This is an ideal project to use up your scraps of yarn. Depending on the yarn and hook you use, the measurements will vary.

Homemade dogs toys last much longer than store bought toys. I have a Labrador/German Shepherd who loves to chew on her toys. The balls I crocheted for her are still in perfect condition, even after 6 months! The only thing that would break is the squeaker. Therefore, I recommend buying high quality squeakers, such as those sold by Kong. Kong also sells different sizes of squeakers which are perfect since this pattern has different size balls.
