Dog Sweater

The pattern is written for a medium sized dog. However, the knitter is encouraged to measure the dog it is intended for as the knitting progresses. I wrote the pattern to support the Humane Society (aka Animal Allies). Please make either a sweater donation or a small financial donation to your local Humane Society!
Here is a brief construction overview:
- Work ribbing back and forth for rear end
- Work the Aran pattern back and forth for back -- adjust size by changing the center seed stitch
- Cast on a few sts and join in the round for the collar
- Work the chest in ribbing, attaching to the back and increasing as you go. Work straight without attaching for a few inches for leg holes. Begin attaching again, working straight (or decreasing depending on your dog) for the belly.
25 Feb 2022 - I added two files to the pattern; one is the block diagram for measuring the animal and the other is a full chart of the back to clarify the pattern. Click on the free pattern link and you should be able to download them.
