This pattern is from Charming Colorwork socks: 25 Delightful Knitting Patterns for Colorful, Comfy Footwear. Released 20th September in America, Canada (Europe and other continents a few weeks later) and available now as a digital ebook worldwide.

It’s no secret that I have a bit of an obsession with cats and seem to pick up random feline friends wherever I go. They have even been known to appear in my living room from time to time. I live on the third floor, so this is quite impressive and surprising! That
being said, I am also besotted with my friend’s Shiba Inu, whom we refer to as dog cat. It is the cattiest of dogs that I have ever encountered. And as always with things I love, I was determined to create a pair of dog socks in her honor, which would serve as a reminder of our happy walks in the forest together. If
you have a doggy pal, I hope you enjoy wearing these with your special friend.

Construction Notes
This sock has a ribbing pattern that starts at the cuff. It then continues after the dog face colorwork pattern on the leg and down to the colorwork dog paw pattern on the foot. Duplicate stitch is used for the eyes and tongue of the dog face. There is a traditional heel flap, turn and gusset.
