I created this piece to fill a gap in my knitwear wardrobe. Thanks to the encouragement of my mom and aunt I decided to take notes and those notes became a pattern. I really enjoyed creating this kerchief and hope it keeps you warm whether you are also walking your dog, taking a stroll with a loved one, or enjoying time alone in the brisk winter air. This project uses just under one skein of DK weight yarn and knits up in a flash. It is the perfect choice for last minute gift knitting.

The pattern is written in “one size” but has instructions for adding length to the back so it can be easily adjusted for a custom fit.

Finished circumference of the top line is 21” and tapers to 22” at the horizontal line of the shoulder. Each long side of the kerchief is 16”. Depth/height of closure in the back is 6”.
