For my therapy giftbox and as a present for a friend of mine, I came up with my own dog pattern! This pattern is highly adjustable, just change the colors, ear type/length, tail shape/length and you can easily recreate your own fluffy friend!

Materials
To make a dog you will need:
– A Crochet hook, 2.5mm
– DK yarn in any color you want!
– A tapestry needle and scissors
- Safety eyes and either a safety nose or black yarn to embroider a nose
– Stuffing
– A stitch marker to help you keep track of the start of the round
– Pipe cleaner if you want your dog’s tail to be curled up

Please note that you can make the dogs using any size crochet hook and yarn weight for a smaller or bigger result. Using DK yarn and a 2.5mm crochet hook, they should stand about 15cm tall.

Stitches & Abbreviations
The pattern is written using US crochet terms in continuous spirals. You will need to know the following kinds of stitches to make him:
– Magic Ring (MR)
– Chaining (ch)
– Single crochet (sc)
– Crocheting into back loops only (BLO)
– Decrease (dec); preferably using the invisible decrease method
– Increase (inc)
– Changing colors if you want to do multi colored dogs (I will not be giving instructions for this as this is highly dependable on what dog you want to make. Just go wild :))
