Use either No 50 mercerised crochet cotton and a No 7 (English) steel crochet hook or No 30 mercerised crochet cotton and a No 5 (English) crochet hook or Alexanders Knitting Cotton No 14 and a No 4 (English) steel crochet hook.

The large doily requires approximately 363 yards of No 50 cotton or 417 yards of No 30 cotton or 550 yards of the heavy cotton.

The medium doily requires approximately 204 yards of No 50 cotton, 235 yards of 30 cotton or 310 yards of the heavy.

The small doily requires 58 yards of 50 or 67 yards of 30 or 88 yards of heavy.

Large doily is 18 inches or 22 inches or 28 inches in diameter.
