“Mosaic” is a square-shaped doily which can be turned into a rug/carpet by taking larger hooks and jumbo yarn weights. One piece contains of 4 motifs (2 vertical and 2 horizontal) sewn together once they are finished. Meterage is given for 4 motifs.
You can make more, but please, make sure you’ll have enough yarn.

The pattern is written in English in US standard terms. You will find written instructions for each round + links to helpful VIDEOS (the voice is speaking in Russian, but the instructions are clear without any sound at all and completed with using thick cord and large hook, so it will be easy to watch).

This pattern is not sensitive to gauge, but the larger hook (and heavier yarn) you use, the larger is the finished size.

Yarn – 656 yds (600 m) of light fingering cotton yarn like Vita Rose, 100% cotton 164 yds (150 m) in 1.75 oz (50 g) ball.
Hook: hook 2.00 mm US 0 size
finished measurement – 15x15” (38x38 cm) approximately if you use the recommended yarn weight and hook.
