I used Yarnspirations Caron Cupcakes for this project, but any DK weight yarn will also work. I liked the Caron Cupcakes yarn for this project because the yardage was generous - one 244 yard skein made 2 child-sized hats and 1 doll-sized hat! Plus, it came with a cut pom-pom which was a bonus because who doesn’t love poms!

Needles: US Size 8 (5.0 mm) circulars (16 inches)

Size: Fits child heads ages 4-12 years and 18 inch dolls (pictured in this post are American Girl brand dolls)
