Doll Beret & Poncho
Update Errata: Round 4 of the scalloped edging #2 should read - Round 4: k1, k1, ktbl, k1, ktbl, k1 around the first yo, use the second yo to skp – repeat from around.
Cool weather requires cute cover-ups. What is more fitting than a poncho and beret to keep the chill off? The pattern requires some intermediate skills for the provisional tubular cast on. The recommended yarn is Caron Simply Soft 100% acrylic and will take approximately 180 yds of the main color and maybe up to 25 yds for the flowers and trim or I-cord bow. The flowers and trim around the bottom of the poncho are crocheted. If you do not crochet, you can knit the optional I-cord bows instead. The poncho is worked from the top down and the beret is worked from the bottom up. Both are worked in the round.
