Materials needed
• 1 1/2 oz (42 gm) #2 Fine Weight Yarn – we used Premier Serenity Garden Yarn, col. DN800 Gems
• Boye® size 4 (3.5 mm) knitting needles, or size required to obtain gauge
• Yarn Needle
• Stitch Markers
• Crochet Hook
• For Hat (optional): small sew-on appliqué

Note: to minimize blocks of solid color when making small items out of multi-color yarn, divide the skein into two balls of equal size. Knit two rows with one ball and then two rows with the second ball.
