- Emil can come taller or smaller but still a lot of fun to knit and to become friends with.
Clothes and shoes cannot be removed.
The pattern is easy to follow with step-by-step detailed instructions accompanied by plenty of photos. (It is 35 pages long with 116 photos illustrating the process). The pattern is written for knitting flat on two needles and the toy should be seamed afterwards. All pattern rows are numbered.
Emile’s head, body and arms are knitted from the top down as one flat piece; there is a centre back seam from the crown of the head to the start of the legs. The hands have a seam on the inner side and the feet have a seam along the middle of the sole. The legs are knitted in one piece and sewn into place after stuffing.
