This little basketweave pram was designed to fit a dollhouse. It is inspired by some of the doll prams made by one of my ancestors. I’ve included a variation that turns it into a cradle instead of a pram.

Gauge is not important for this pattern.

The finished pram/cradle is approximately 7 cm x 7 cm x 8 cm
Notions

• 3.5 mm hook

• yarn needle

• scissors

• Optional: If you choose to make the cradle you will need a small length of pipe cleaner and plastic cover for the pipe cleaner (about 20 cm length of both) to give some structure to the rockers.

• yarn in 3-4 colours (I used a beige/brown for the basketweave part, a plain brown for handles, base and rockers, light grey and black for the wheels)

  Please note that the yarn estimates are just estimates. One of the yarns that I used (Craft Wise Tones beige/brown) did not have meterage listed on the label. I estimated how much I used for that colour using the difference in weight and the meterage from the other yarn that I used which did have the meterage listed. If you make the cradle version you will need slightly more yarn than what is listed.

  Main colour (beige/brown or plain brown): 11 g, 31 m, 34 yds. Please note that this is the amount I used the first time I made this pattern using Marvel yarn (the main colour amount includes what I used to make everything except for the wheels). In the versions shown in the photos, I used plain brown 4 Seasons Marvel 8 ply yarn (a different shade of brown for the pram versus the cradle) for the bases (and handles for the pram and rockers for the cradle) and kept the Craft Wise tones for the basketweave part. I haven’t calculated exactly how much yarn I used for the cradle rockers but you will probably need a little more than what was needed for the pram version.
