This hat was designed to match my Doll Dress Plain or Ruffled for 18-inch doll. Please note that different brands of dolls and different hair styles may require adjustments to this pattern such as a change in hook size, number of stitches, stretchiness of the yarn, etc. Yardage is approximate -- a great project for scrap yarn.

I used an E crochet hook to get the size of hat I needed for my doll. See also matching Dress Plain or Ruffled.
Instructions are written with and without the optional ruffles.

STITCHES:
• Ch = chain
• Sc = single Crochet
• Dc = Double Crochet
• Sl st = slip stitch
• V-Stitch = dc, ch1, dc

GAUGE: 2 inches x 2 inches = 5 rows dc x 8 dc OR = 5 rows x 4 V-stitches
