Dolly Donkey & Bramble Horse
Dolly the Donkey and Bramble the Horse are the best of friends. Each has a saddle and a floppy mane. This pattern has been designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz using acrylic DK yarns, and is knitted flat on single pointed needles. The reins are i-cord tubes worked on two double pointed needles (DPNs).

TECHNIQUES
Work the horse, donkey and saddles flat on single pointed needles (not in the round). The reins are i-cord worked on two DPNs.
The manes are attached after knitting by knotting strands of yarn onto the head (as you would to attach a doll’s hair). For the tails you need to make a tassel of yarn.
Other techniques include casting on and off, knits and purls, increases and decreases, knitting stripes, Swiss darning (duplicate stitch embroidery) and seaming to finish.
