Not only are they fun, but believe it or not they are extremely practical due to the knitted inner lining.

You may even hand knit the outer and line the insides with felt material. Works a treat!

The oven mitts shown are knitted in Rowan Yarns’ Wool Cotton with 4mm circular or double pointed needles.
Two colours of double knitting yarn are used, 100g per colour way if knitting the lining. 50g per colour way if you intend to use the felt lining option. Purchase an additional ball of each colour to ensure you have sufficient yarn for your project.
A natural fibre must be used if you use these mitts for their intended purpose.

Warning- Please be aware when using your mitts near a heat source. Ensure that the knitted fabric and particularly the pom pom ties do not dangle accidentally into a naked flame. A knitted or felt lining must be made to insulate this mitt sufficiently.
