This shawl is named after a butterfly I spotted at the Don river valley in Toronto. The triangular shape of its wings resembles the shape of the shawl. Its softness and lightness are the continuous inspiration for my knitting.

• Don Valley Butterfly - the EASIEST SYMMETRICAL triangular SHAWL/BAKTUS.
• Garter stitch - only knit stitches.
• Icelandic bind off.

Diagonal triangle knitting. Start from the tip on one side and work towards the opposite side. Knit until you are happy with the size or until run out of the yarn.

In the video I used 2x100g (~400m each) skeins of a fingering weight yarn, but it can also be made with a sock yarn, sport or dk, or even lace.
