Easy, beginner-friendly tutorial to making crocheted doughnuts.

In addition to yarns, you’ll need a stitch marker, polyester filling and a tapestry needle. This gauge is fairly tightly crocheted with a 3,00 mm crochet hook, so feel free to use a 2,50 mm instead if it suits your hand better.

One doughnut takes about 10g (0,35oz) of Catania yarn in shade 179 for the “dough”, and another 10g in the shade of your choice for the “glaze”. In addition to that, you’ll need a few strands of waste yarn for the decorations. Two skeins of Catania yarn are enough for at least 5 doughnuts, or even more depending on your gauge.
